SMACNA joins NECA, MCAA and TAUC in Strategic Alliance

New agreement between organizations designed to develop and expand best practices, safety standards, and encourage technological advancements across the entire union construction space.

SMACNA has joined the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), and the Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) in signing a historic strategic alliance agreement. For the first time, all four associations are coming together to encourage collaboration and innovation throughout the construction and maintenance industry. Under the terms of the new alliance, there will be a heightened focus on advocating for policies that promote the general welfare and prosperity of the industry.

In discussing this momentous occasion, SMACNA CEO Aaron Hilger said, “Trade associations set a high bar for what it means to work together for the benefit of everyone. SMACNA is pleased to formalize ways to collaborate with our colleagues to advance practices and procedures that will grow our professions and help the people dedicated to building a better America and world.”
