Funding Improvement Plan and Funding Policy

This notice, issued in April 2019 by the Sheet Metal Workers’ National Pension Fund (NPF), outlines updates to the Funding Improvement Plan (FIP), initially adopted in 2014. The FIP serves as the Funding Policy adopted by the Trustees and will continue to do so until the Fund has ceased to be in Endangered Status. The purpose of the FIP is to achieve benchmarks designed to improve the status of the NPF.
