Safety Sponsorship Program

The SMACNA Safety and Health Committee, in partnership with the sheet metal industry BE4ALL initiative, is offering an annual Safety Sponsorship to one eligible individual in the safety field. This program provides the opportunity to attend the National Safety Council (NSC) Safety Congress & Expo, to promote professional development, learning, and networking.

The Safety Sponsorship program, developed in collaboration with the sheet metal industry's BE4ALL initiative, aims to foster a diverse and inclusive unionized sheet metal industry. This program seeks to encourage participation from safety professionals who align with the vision and objectives of BE4ALL. Through this sponsorship, our goal is to promote professional advancement in the industry and foster an encouraging and supportive work environment.

We recognize that continued learning and sustained engagement are crucial for members as they establish themselves in their professional journey. To ensure the inclusion of all members into professionally recognized safety programming and networking, the Safety Sponsorship program offers one eligible individual the exclusive opportunity to attend the prestigious National Safety Council (NSC) Safety Congress & Expo.

The NSC Safety Congress has been the largest annual safety event for over 100 years, providing industry-leading technology solutions, education, and networking opportunities. Attending this conference will allow the selected member to come together, share experiences, and make connections with others at the forefront of the industry. It is the perfect platform for learning directly from other safety professionals and staying ahead of regulatory trends.

By attending this conference, the winner will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the latest regulations and insights into regulatory organizations.
  • Gain valuable knowledge for effective safety measure implementation.
  • Network with industry professionals and explore collaborations.
  • Find solutions for longstanding safety issues through discussions.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in safety regulations.

We believe that providing this opportunity is an essential component of our commitment to creating and sustaining a diverse, encouraging, and supportive work environment within the sheet metal industry. We encourage all eligible members in the safety field who support the objectives of the BE4ALL initiative to apply for this sponsorship program and compete for the chance to be selected as the winner.

Join us at the NSC Safety Congress & Expo and be part of a transformative experience where you can learn, connect, and contribute to the advancement of safety in the sheet metal industry. 2025 Safety Sponsorship applications closes on May 31st.

As the winner, you’ll receive up to $5,000 for expenses related to attending the 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo, including transportation, hotel accommodations, and registration fees.
