After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Environmental Engineering, I began a career in Environmental Health & Safety with West Agro / DeLaval as a Compliance Specialist. I continued that career with Georgia Pacific as Human Resources & EHS Manager and then EHS & Quality Manager. A position with Owens Corning Fiberglass as EHS Director followed and just prior to joining SMACNA Kansas City I served as the Corporate EHS Director for Milbank Manufacturing. I began my career with SMACNA Kansas City in February of 2009 and have thoroughly enjoyed building my experience in this field with reliance on my varied background and serving the union sheet metal contractors of the greater Kansas City area. I developed my knowledge and relationships within the sheet metal industry throughout my lifetime through my father, who was a union sheet metal worker and served as both Apprentice Coordinator and Business Manager for SMART Local 2, retiring after a long career in the Kansas City area. My dad was my biggest supporter and my hero, I only wish he’d lived to see me succeed in my career with SMACNA. I am married with two beautiful step-daughters, Hailey 20 and Emmie 19 and my husband, Todd, of 14 years. I love animals, reading and travel.
