Justin Cumnock

Justin has lived in Pacific Northwest for over 20 years and attended University of Portland and Portland State University graduating in 2008. Three days after graduating, Justin began a year-long underwriting trainee program with a large, national Property & Casualty firm. Over the 12 years of his underwriting carrier, Justin was promoted 4 times, mentored many, and named top 10% National Underwriter of the Year. 

During Justin’s tenure as a large account business lines underwriter, Justin gained intimate

knowledge of how underwriters work and think which has leant a strong upper hand with his career transition to Anchor Insurance & Surety as a retail broker. Anchor is an independent retail brokerage that has exclusively catered to the construction community for insurance and bonds since 1985.

Justin has been with his wonderful wife, Alison, for 11 years and they have an amazing 6-year-old child, Lillian, who is their the light of their lives. Justin enjoys golfing, shooting, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to lending time to support SMACNA, he also is on the Board of Directors for AGC and has a strong passion for promoting the trades to our youth
