New legislation will maintain funding at current levels for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) during the remainder of Fiscal Year 2024. The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 (H.R. 2882) allocates nearly $632.3 million for the government’s safety oversight body.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NiOSH) will receive $362.8 million in FY 2024, an identical amount to what it received in FY 2023. NIOSH is responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for preventing work-related injury and illness.
