For 36 years, the SMACNA College of Fellows has conducted a golf outing in conjunction with the SMACNA convention to raise money to support the College of Fellows Scholarship Program. The 2024 event at the upcoming Annual Convention in Palm Springs, CA, offers several opportunities for sponsors to support this critical effort.

SMACNA College of Fellows Scholarship Program identifies and recognizes academically talented youth and potential future leaders within the SMACNA extended family. It allows them to further their education and develop their talents as future leaders and positive societal contributors.
Each year, the College awards several four-year scholarships to students who are either SMACNA contractors, employees of SMACNA contractors, SMACNA Fellows, SMACNA associate members, local chapter or National SMACNA staff, or members of the families of any of these groups. In 2016, the College began incrementally increasing the number of these scholarships from $3,000 to $4,000 a year. The College was able to accomplish this primarily because of the success of the golf outing. That success is due in great measure to the support of our convention golf outing sponsors, who are helping us to defray costs and maximize the amount we can provide to these talented young people.
Looking to head in a new direction, the College of Fellows will be holding a pickleball tournament to supplement the golf outing. Support of the golf outing and the pickleball tournament will be critical in ensuring that the College of Fellows can continue fulfilling its mission. The continued success of the events will generate revenue, which will ultimately enable the College to increase the number of scholarships awarded each year or their annual dollar value. This is not possible without the continued support of our sponsors.
