Joe Samia is the President of Central Consolidated, which is based in Wichita, KS. In this capacity, he serves as Central Consolidated's primary engineer and aids in other aspects of the firm's operation.
In 1990, Joe completed his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He then began his professional journey as a Law/Kingdon Architects and Engineers design engineer. Next, in 1992, Joe started his career with Central as a mechanical designer. He was then promoted to Project Manager, taking over a significant portfolio that included major clients such as Raytheon, Wesley Medical Center, and Farmland Foods. Joe became a minority owner of the company in 1997 until its sale in 2001, after which he took on the role of President. 2011 saw Joe become the fifth partner within Central, and then in 2016, he became the firm's majority owner.
Joe is heavily involved in the industry, serving on the SMACNA Board of Directors and the SMACNA HVAC Market Sector Council. He has also been active with organizations such as ASHRAE's Wichita Chapter, the Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors of Kansas, and as a trustee for the Joint Apprentice Training Committee for Sheet Metal Local #29.
