A new regulation from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) requires that contractors take certain actions if they “disturb” lead based paint (LBP) in older buildings.

Certification, training, and work practice requirements became effective April 22, 2010.

SMACNA has developed a Heat Stress and Heat Illness Tip Card to be used in providing training to employees on the hazards of heat exposure. The purpose of the tip card is to supplement training on the subject of heat stress.
